Dr. Kritikou holds a PhD in developmental and cancer biology from the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom and continued her postdoctoral studies in the field of developmental genomics at the University of Zurich, Switzerland. Since her arrival in Montreal, she has held key positions at the Montreal Heart Institute and at the CHU Ste-Justine Research Center (CRCHUSJ) and is recognized nationally for her significant contribution to the field of research administration. His high-level expertise in molecular biology and genomics, combined with his extensive managerial experience within the Université de Montréal network, gives her a unique profile that has earned her the recognition of her peers.
Thanks to her exceptional leadership, she has implemented several initiatives that have improved the support of researchers and the performance of major strategic initiatives and has played an active role in promoting partnerships across the research institutes and faculties across the country. She was appointed Interim Scientific Director at the CRCHUSJ (2016-2017) and then she held the position of Associate Director – Scientific Development (2017-2020), where she led major strategic partnerships and initiated transforming projects funded by national and international funding agencies and philanthropy.
She currently holds the position of Vice-Dean, Research and Development, at the Faculty of Medicine, Université de Montréal and she is responsible for the development and coordination of strategic initiatives between the campus and the 11 affiliated research hospital centres and institutes.
