Dr. St-Pierre has more than 25 years of internationally recognized expertise in the prevention and treatment of non-communicable diseases in young people. Recipient of Canadian Merit from the Canadian Pediatric Society in Prevention, she is currently the director of the Maison de Santé Prévention de Montréal and founder of Approach 180, an interdisciplinary approach to global and sustainable health. Author of several scientific publications in high-impact journals, she contributes to numerous medical practice guides that are among the top 1% of the most cited publications in the world.
In 2007, she became the first Quebec and Canadian woman to sit on the obesity prevention committee of the prestigious American Heart Association as an Honorary Fellow. Mother and woman of science, in 2021 she signed a very first popular medical book for the public at Gallimard, Restoring health to the whole family, now available in more than 75 countries.
