Stéfanie began her career as an occupational therapist at CHU Sainte-Justine. Driven by a fervent interest in innovation, she subsequently held numerous management roles. After launching Quebec’s first early screening program for children from birth to five years old, she became part of the team in charge of developing the hospital’s innovation frameworks and infrastructure. She then took on the leadership of the Réseau Mère-enfant de la Francophonie, an international network for knowledge sharing that includes over twenty university hospital centers, and was appointed manager of the innovation unit for the mother-child department.
Stéfanie joined the CHUM in 2019 as the Deputy Director for Learning and Academic Affairs. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, she was instrumental in the deployment of teaching and training activities within the institution. While at CHUM, she led several pioneering interdisciplinary projects and implemented new working methodologies to respond to evolving demands and enhance cooperation among stakeholders. Her efforts have been pivotal in promoting education and knowledge dissemination as key drivers of change, generating value for patients, teams, institutions, and the broader community. Central to her strategy was reshaping educational practices and incorporating AI and new technological knowledge.
Her skills for mobilization, strategic thinking, and proficiency in fostering innovation and knowledge locally and globally, are major assets that will contribute to the growth of QIS and the co-creation of tomorrow’s healthcare.
