Dr Elyse Berger-PelletierConsulting physician - CHUM

Dr. Elyse Berger Pelletier graduated in 2011 from Laval University in specialized emergency medicine and completed a fellowship in health management at Harvard University as well as a master’s degree in epidemiology. In addition to her career as an emergency physician at Hôtel-Dieu de Lévis, she served as president of the Association of Specialists in Emergency Medicine from 2015 to 2018.

Beginning her career at the Department of Health and Human Services in 2018 as medical director for the emergency services branch, she was subsequently appointed deputy executive director of emergency and prehospital and national medical director of prehospital until May 2022. She is now a consulting physician since June 2022 with the CHUM team for the emergency department modeling project. She teaches medical leadership at Laval University’s Faculty of Medicine and is involved in various projects concerning geriatric emergency medicine, digital medicine and hospital fluidity.
